Adding a page is useful if you have additional information to offer your website visitors. Below are steps to take to add a page.
Step 1: Click on the Pages link in the Dashboard.
Step 2: Click on the + Add Basic Page button. This can be found near the top of the page.
Step 2: Add the Title to the new page. No need to worry about the Machine Name.
Step 3: Add information/content to the Body section.
- Text Styles to use:
- Heading 2: This style would be used for titles of different sections on a single page.
- Heading 3: This style would be used if there were multiple topics covered under a secondary title.
- Paragraph Lead: This style wouldn't typically be used, but could be used in place of a Heading 3.
- Adding Links: Before adding links, have URLs available either in a document or open in a new window/tab.
- External:
- Step 1: Highlight text.
- Step 2: With text highlighted press the link button. (Looks like a chain link in CKeditor options.)
- Step 3: Place URL in the URL text box.
- Step 4: Under the Advanced section (click title to expand), press the box next to Open in new window. This will open link in a new window.
- Step 5: Press Save.
- Internal (pages found on PCC):
- Step 1: Highlight text.
- Step 2: With text highlighted press the link button. (Looks like a chain link in CKeditor options.)
- Step 3: Place URL in the URL text box.
- Step 4: Press Save.
- Documents
- Step 1: Highlight text.
- Step 2: With text highlighted press the link button. (Looks like a chain link in CKeditor options.)
- Step 3: Press Open File Browser link.
- Step 4: Find document in the dated folder if it has already been uploaded. If the file has not been uploaded do the following:
- Press Upload button.
- Press + Add File button.
- Find the file on computer/hard drive.
- Press Choose button.
- Select file (if not selected by default).
- Press the Select button to add to the page.
Step 4 (optional): If the new page will have a unique sidebar section do the following:
- Click on the Sidebar title to expand the section.
- Add a Sidebar Title.
- Add text under Sidebar Content.
Step 5: Save changes by pressing the Save button at bottom of the page. If a new page is to be added to the menu, please contact clientcare@aptitude.digital
