Adding External Links

Option 1: External Links

External links are used for websites that will take the user away from the site they are on.

Step 1: Highlight the text you would like the link to be attached to.

Step 2: Press the link icon. This looks like the world with a chain link. See image below.






Step 3:
Select the link type URL in the dropdown.

Step 4: Add the URL to the text box titled URLSee the image below.
















​(OPTIONAL) Step 5: Go to the Target tab in the same pop-up box. Select target New Window (_blank) in the dropdown. Having the Target to be (_blank) opens the URL in a new tab in the user's browser. 


Step 6: Press the OK button.

Step 7: Once changes are complete, press the Save button at the bottom of the page.
